Don Vesey of Select Sleep Mattress

Select Sleep Mattress owner Don Vesey has been a leader in the mattress business since 1962. Don sold his first company (Spring Air Mattress) in 1999. Spring Air Mattress produced products that were sold to retail stores.

In 2000, Don started Select Sleep Mattress – a factory direct mattress manufacturing company and showroom in Union City, CA. Don’s direct interaction with consumers was invaluable as it influenced him to completely re-think how the mattress industry was designing their products and how the designs didn’t seem to address the consumers’ differing needs.

So, he completely re-designed his mattresses and began providing tailored mattresses that are flexible enough to:
